Raw material effective handling equipment

Meat and fish rendering plants, which are processing animal by-product materials, need different options of storage and handling. That plants are operating in close cooperation with animal slaughterhouses. The raw material bin is the first element of the rendering production line for the storage of feathers, fatty tissue, pork, sheep, meat, fish offal, beef, and poultry.

Bin can be installed above the ground and sometimes for customer requests it is possible to make a durable machine for underground storage. The raw material is transported with a truck to the specially designed bins, which allows direct unloading of the material. The construction of each bin is custom-made according to customers' requirements. It can be equipped with a load cell system for monitoring the weight of the material and automatic hydraulic lids. The bin consists of a few components like a conveyor, gear motor, bearings at both ends of the shaft with welded flights, and material outlet. The liquid that is dripping to the bottom of the bin is transferred by the pump to the next rendering stage. Easy cleaning is ensured by the automatic hydraulic lids design. An odour control system must be installed to prevent the area from odor. TG-Machines offer a wide range of steel hoppers with a capacity of up to 250 m3 size. Various material options are available. Bins are made of carbon and stainless steel, or a combination of them. The silo screw conveyor is suitable for transporting various bulk materials horizontally or on a slope. Proper management of material handling can save costs and optimize environmental pollution.
