Continuous rotary indirect disc dryers

An Industrial disc dryer is a horizontal, indirect steam-heated machine for reducing the moisture of different raw materials. Efficient drying is provided by the flow of saturated steam, and it is based on the heat exchange between the product and hot dryer discs. Double-walled discs are welded to the rotor of the dryer. Indirect heat transfer allows a gentle and environmentally friendly drying process. The design of the rotor discs ensures the appropriate flow of the saturated steam and high water vapor evaporation. The processed material is continuously fed to the inlet and transported and mixed by the paddles placed at the circumference of the discs. Specially designed scrapers mounted to the stator are preventing material from sticking to the discs.
